Avanti Finance appoints Tracy Pennell as Chief Operating Officer

Executive structure changes also see Lee Robson take on an expanded Auto and Personal remit to support continued growth and service improvements.

Avanti Finance today announced the appointment of Tracy Pennell as Chief Operating Officer, as the specialist lender strengthens its executive structure to create better alignment and clearer ownership across operations, risk and its business areas.

Pennell’s appointment expands on her current role as General Manager of Strategic Delivery. As Chief Operating Officer, she will take on responsibility for key operational areas, with a focus on strengthening execution and improving how Avanti delivers for customers and partners.

Avanti Finance Group Chief Executive Officer, Fred Ohlsson, said the changes were about organising the business for its next phase of growth.

“As Avanti continues to grow, we need the right structure, leadership and focus in place to keep improving how we operate and how we support our customers and partners,” Ohlsson said.

“Tracy has a strong execution focus and a deep understanding of our business. Her appointment as Chief Operating Officer gives us dedicated leadership across key operational areas as we continue to scale.”

Lee Robson to lead expanded Auto and Personal remit

Lee Robson, who previously led Avanti’s Auto business, will now also take responsibility for Personal Lending as General Manager Auto and Personal, bringing Auto and Personal together to support continued growth and deliver faster, more consistent service for dealers, brokers, advisors, and customers.

Ohlsson said Robson’s expanded remit would help Avanti build on its investment in systems, people and service capability, including the Avanti Partner Portal.

“Lee is well placed to lead this expanded area. He has strong experience across Auto Lending, and bringing Auto and Personal closer together will give us greater scale across our BDM network and operations, while supporting a faster, more consistent service experience for introducers and customers,” Ohlsson said.

The Avanti Partner Portal, launched in April for auto and personal, has brought both areas onto a more consistent platform and workflow, with automated decisions, self-service functionality, instant contract generation and faster settlements – helping introducers manage applications more efficiently.

Ohlsson said the changes reflected Avanti’s ongoing focus on organising the business for growth and backing introducers with the right people, systems and service.

“This is about making it easier and faster for our partners to do business with us, while making sure we have the leadership structure in place to support our continued growth,” he said.
