Putting People First is one of our most important values of our business, and during this difficult time, it's more important than ever that we live up to it.
Here's how we're making sure you're supported when you need it most.
HOW WE'RE SUPPORTING YOU
It's business as usual for our help lines. If you need to chat about your loan, our phone lines on 0800 808 003 are open.
We also know that Coronavirus may be making it difficult for our customers to meet their usual repayments on their loan, especially with the recent Government announcement to move to alert level 4. This could be due to sickness, a loss of employment or a reduction in business income.
If you're struggling to make your loan repayments due to the Coronavirus, please fill out this Change in Circumstance form. You will need to:
- Download the form to your computer
- Open the file using Adobe Reader (it's free)
- Fill out the form and "Save as" to save the changes to your computer
- Email the form to COVID19@avantifinance.co.nz and attach any supporting documents, such as a letter from your employer (if possible)
We will be in touch with you as soon as we've had an opportunity to review your form.
Variable Mortgage Interest Rate Review
After reviewing our funding costs we are pleased to confirm that we are able to pass on a .50% (half a percent) rate reduction to all of our Long-term mortgage customers. This change will be effective from your next payment after April 1. All customers affected will receive a letter and confirmation of this over the next 3-7 days.
As all of our other loans are on fixed interest rates there will be no interest changes to these.
Mortgage Repayment Holiday
We’ve had lot of calls and questions about the mortgage holiday plans announced by the Government last week. The Reserve Bank is still working on details of the plan and how it will operate. We’re expecting to know more this week. As soon as they come out with the package we’ll let you know by posting again. We’re here to help you out during this tough time. If you have a mortgage repayment due this week and you are unable to make the payment due to COVID-19, please fill out this Change in Circumstances for Home Loans form and email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, we ask that anyone calling specifically about the mortgage relief holds off from getting in touch – just until we know more.
HOW WE'RE SUPPORTING OUR STAFF
The wellbeing of our staff is another top priority for us. We're taking extra precautions to keep them happy, healthy and safe. We've put systems in place to ensure our people can continue to work with minimum disruption from home.
